This event will take the robot debate one step further, with Professor Danielle George, Dr Adam Rutherford and broadcaster Dallas Campbell discussing the rapid development of robots in recent history, and whether they could one day threaten the survival of the human race.
Danielle George is Professor of Radio Frequency Engineering and Associate Dean in the Faculty of Engineering and Physical Sciences at the University of Manchester, while Adam Rutherford is geneticist, author and broadcaster. The event will be chaired by science broadcaster Dallas Campbell.
This event is now sold out.
The In Conversation event will begin promptly at 19.30. You are only guaranteed entry to the In Conversation event if you have booked a ticket for the Robots exhibition (terms and conditions apply). Please arrive promptly at 18.00 to make sure you have enough time to enjoy the exhibition before the event.
Otherwise, entry to the In Conversation event is on a first come, first served basis, and is not guaranteed. People often overbook tickets for free events, so we issue more tickets than there are seats available to allow for this. If you have not booked a ticket to see the Robots exhibition, we recommend arriving promptly at 18.30 and the bar will be open from that time selling pre-event drinks.
